Student Life Information:
From Aaron Young, Director of Student Life Ministry
It was a busy weekend between ALTÆR’s Winter Camp and the beginning of our Fresh Start Confirmation class. Thanks for all of your prayers! 2011 is off to a great start. This week we are getting prepared for the start of our 2011 summer missions training, which begins this Sunday afternoon for all of our level 2-4 mission trips (level 1 starts March 20). If you haven’t signed up your 8-12th grade student for a mission trip yet, this is pretty much the last week to do so. We still have space available for the level 2 New Orleans and Tijuana mission trips. We could probably squeeze 1 or 2 more onto our Czech Republic team as well. Information booklets and applications are available in the SL lobby.

There is much to celebrate for everyone at SUMC this Sunday!
For our Elementary children it will be Celebration Sunday at BLASt! We have a fun and meaningful morning planned for them as we celebrate the story of The Lame Man Healed: Faith Goes Through the Roof.
Our Nursery and Preschoolers have much to celebrate as well, as they finish up their units on Jesus is God’s Son and Follow God, respectively.
Confirmation Classes started for Student Life and Pastor Stuart introduced his new series, CAUTION! Avoiding Life’s Landmines (A different look at the 10 Commandments), last Sunday. This Sunday confirmation continues and Pastor Stuart will talk about “Identifying and Avoiding Idols”. This is a must attend Sunday for all so we hope to see you on Campus this weekend.
